BALM Banquet to Celebrate 7 Years of Ministry
On Oct. 24, 2025, we will gather to celebrate all God has been doing over the last seven years through BALM. Dozens of men and women have earned master’s or bachelor’s degrees through our partnership with Metro Baltimore Seminary (where Pastor Craig Garriott is Dean of Church Planting and Renewal, and Pastor Stan Long is Dean of Urban Ministry). We have partnered with several churches in renewal, including Abbott Memorial Presbyterian, Grace Presbyterian in Relay, MD, City of Hope in Columbia, and most recently, Inverness Presbyterian Church in Dundalk, MD. Our Discipleship Pathway Training has equipped nearly 70 people to reach out to the “nones and dones” and invite them to discover the Bible in informal home settings. Our micro-church movement invites unchurched people in several neighborhoods to discover Jesus for themselves in His Word. Our BALM for Baltimore mercy and justice projects include renovations at the Salaam Center and New Song Community Church.
The banquet will feature former local pastor Rev. Dr. Thurman Williams, Director of Homiletics at Covenant Theological Seminary, SHINEFM's Tracey Tiernan, Gary Coiro of Bridgeway Church, and BALM staff. Dr. Thurman Williams (with his wife Evie) served as pastor of youth and outreach at Faith Christian Fellowship with Pastor Craig. He pastored New Song Community Church for 13 years before moving to St. Louis, where he planted New City West End Church.
Tracey Tiernan is a songwriter, musician, blogger, and radio personality known for her ability to speak and live out the Good News of Jesus in every setting. She is married to Rev. Gary Coiro, and they enjoy cycling and celebrating their large family!and we hope you will mark your calendar and join us. Hear all that God has been doing! Tickets will be available soon.
