Derek Pulliam Joins BALM Staff

Pastor Derek Pulliam, who earned his M.Div. from Metro Baltimore Seminary in 2023, is our new Practicum Assistant for our two MBS tracks (Church Planting & Renewal and Urban Ministry). Derek also helps BALM develop our discipleship-focused Unbound microchurch network in and around Baltimore.

MBS students receive significant credit for their practicum experiences, and in this part-time role, Derek will help them manage these requirements, and assist in monthly cohort meetings.

Derek Pulliam is the husband of one wife (U’Vonda) and the father of three young adult children (Derek Jr., Skai, and Ryan). He served as a pastor and teaching elder at a small church in the inner city of Baltimore for over twenty years. Derek holds a Master of Divinity from Metro Baltimore Seminary and is currently working on his Doctorate of Ministry from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary (Leadership in a Changing Church Context).
